Thirty five years do not form a long period as the age of Baloch Club Bahrain compared with the age of other institutions in the region. But, the age of an institution is not always a good criterion of judging its value and status. For Baloch community living in the Kingdom of Bahrain, there are two edifices that are serving as the symbol of our identity and unity: Baloch Club Bahrain and Baloch Mosque both located in Hoora, Manama.
Baloch Club is the endeavor of the Balochs who migrated to Bahrain from Balochistan. Initially, it was an informal organization called “Baloch Welfare Society”. Later, in 1973, the society was officially Regis tered as “ Baloch Club - Bahrain” under the governing Law of Association of Social and Cultural Clubs and Private Bodies working in the field of sports and recreation activities in the Bahrain.
As per Article 8 of the Law Decree No. 21 of 1989, the following are the main objectives of the club:

To strengthen friendship and cooperation among the members of Baloch community in Bahrain.
To encourage and develop social relations between the members and Bahrainis.
To organize sports activities locally and outside.
To provide educational facilities for the Club members, with the permission of Ministry of Education.

Baloch Club is a well organized institution with an efficient managing body – the Board of Directors - elected by its members in a fair and transparent process supervised by official representatives of the Ministry of Social Development. The current Board of Directors, elected in 2007, consists of the following members:

Mr. Mohammad Mustafa- Deputy General Secretary
Mr. Abdul Baqi Baloch- Treasurer
Mr. Ahmed Murad Mohammad- Administrator

Beside the above mentioned Board of Directors, the activities of the Club are carried out through a number of committees and sub-committees such as the Cultural Committee, the Sports Committee, the Drama Committee, the Music Committee.
However, it is needless to say that the strength of any institution is dependent on support and participation of its members. Baloch Club, not being an exception, has also got its energy from its members to achieve its objectives.
As the General Secretary of the Club, it is my humble request to all members of Baloch community living in the Kingdom of Bahrain to join the Club which serves as a symbol of our identity and unity. If you belong to the Baloch community, you are most welcome to join Baloch Club irrespective of you nationality or origin.
